What is handmade soap?

Handmade soap is a combination of liquid, lye and oils / butters.  When the lye solution (sodium hydroxide) is blended with the oils a chemical reaction occurs and this is called 'saponification'. Then you have soap and glycerine.

Who has tested your soaps?

All soaps have been safety assessed by Scott Grainger, a chartered chemist and a Cosmetic Product Safety Report is held in accordance with EU regulations.

Friends, family and others have been gifted with my soaps for many years and this proved invaluable as market research and gave a wealth of feedback.  My favourite product testers are my two daughters.

Is the soap suitable for my sensitive skin?

All soaps have been made with sensitive skin in mind and are wonderfully mild and gentle.  If you are unsure start with a plain soap.
